Quote from Edmund Burke
Each individual can contribute to changing the situation for the dogs in a positive direction!
The situation on Tenerife regarding abandoned dogs is still very bad. Police authorities are only of very limited help! It is up to all of us to help these adorable four-legged friends. Although in Spain, by law, dogs are no longer considered a “thing” but a full member of a family, dogs are still treated in a despicable way!
Puppies are dumped in rubbish bins and illegal dog fights with XL Pit Bulls are not uncommon. Vets, police officers and politicians are still involved.
Of course, the public media only report on this to a limited extent because it is extremely damaging to tourism when profits are made at the expense of helpless dogs. For this reason, we work closely with animal shelters, animal welfare organizations and vets to offer an effective alternative to the disinterested authorities.
We want to use a rescue & recovery vehicle to rescue dogs that are abandoned in barrancos, hard-to-reach areas, ruined buildings or at the side of the road. As the police authorities only provide very limited help in such cases, an independent organization is urgently needed.
We also want to make ourselves available as a point of contact when dead dogs are discovered. Here too, support from the authorities is a disappointment in 9 out of 10 cases.
We are currently in the process of founding a non-profit association. As soon as this hurdle has been overcome, we will launch various fundraising campaigns – one of which will be the rescue & recovery vehicle.
We are developing an animal management system for all animal shelters that is completely FREE!
Whether on hiking trails or in the village, there are always incidents with dogs that are not necessary!
From changes to the law to investigative articles - we don't censor or gloss over anything!
Stay up to date quickly and easily on incidents, new adoption advertisements or missing dog reports!
Whether you find an injured, abandoned, caged or dead dog… We will come and help! Every deployment of the fire brigade in the context of dog rescues must be paid for!
Our mission serves the life of the dog, which in our opinion cannot be outweighed by money!
As soon as the vision of the rescue & recovery vehicle is realized, we will initially be deployed throughout the south of Tenerife! Depending on donations, a second vehicle is not excluded, which will be responsible for the north of Tenerife.
